Neil Black, District Governer for 2020 - 21 invites you to the last 9600 conference, in his home town of Kingaroy, Queensland, from the 26 - 28 March 2021.
Building on the theme "outside the box" the conference focuses on the contribution Rotary makes to the wider community and the challenges we will confront as we embrace the future.
If you have not registered and booked your accommodation, then you should get in now before the best accommodation is filled up. Country towns tend to fill up with commercial travellers, etc. close to the date, and your webmaster knows a bunch of people who are going to this conference who have never attended a district conference before. It is going to be one to remember.
The presidents-elect training seminar (PETS) is designed to prepare incoming club presidents for their role and give District Governors-elect, District Coordinators and incoming Assistant Governors the opportunity to motivate incoming Presidents and build working relationships. It also provides a great springboard for club Presidents to form cluster relationships which have proven to be exciting avenues for service.
All Presidents-elect are required to attend PETS unless the governor-elect excuses them. Presidents-elect who are excused need to send a club representative in their place.
The Rotaract E-Club of <Insert Name Here> (provisional) is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the first pure e-club in Australia. The project’s aim is to create an opportunity for community-minded youth who are not able to access traditional Rotaract clubs, to engage within the Rotary and Rotaract family. In this way, Rotary and Rotaract can reach out across Australia to engage a diverse group of young people who wish to give back to their communities, but who could benefit from being supported and developed by an organisation that are experts in community service. Our next meeting is on the 18th of February at 7pm.
To direct young people in your community to find out more information on how to become involved, tell them to head to the Rotaract E-Club of <Insert Name Here> facebook page and complete the registration form here: https://forms.gle/uwWYtQtr3VpKfWiy6

This is an annual event where we recognize someone in the community for doing that little bit extra, could be an apprentice or an employee being recognized by their employer. Support for that little bit extra that some people are not always recognized for; they are given an award and recognition by a local high profile person in our community.
Come and share your best project ideas, discover new ones and network with like-minded people. This day is a great motivational experience for all students, teachers and Rotarians who are passionate about their clubs and those Rotarians considering starting a club.
Cost: $20 p/p all inclusive. Click the button below for event information and registration form.

BIG – Ballet International Gala is set to be the greatest ballet gala Australia has ever seen. The most talented dancers from across the world will come together to showcase their incredible ability over a series of two intimate evenings at South Bank’s Piazza Auditorium. Keep your eyes and ears open as we disclose our fantastic dancers in the coming period. Save the date for either the 25th or 26th of June 2021, and get in quick because good ballet usually sells out in Brisbane!
The Rotary Club of Brisbane is proud to be associated with the Ballet International Gala both as an official supporting organisation and as the club the promoters of the event call home. As a result of our support, BIG have agreed to donate 10% of net proceeds to Roadies Retreat Inc., a charity that supports disadvantaged retirees from the entertainment industry, many of whom face homelessness and poverty due to the casual and intermittent nature of employment in the industry and the historic absence of proper structured retirement benefits. We are also excited because this will be an opportunity to see dancers who would normally never come to Australia. If you are a ballet fan it would be more than worth your while even if Rotary wasn't involved!
